In an effort to remember more -- anything -- about the books I read, I started a journal in 2011 in which I recorded my fleeting thoughts and impressions before they flit. In the chronologically arranged entries below, the information listed after the title (publisher and year) always corresponds with the edition of the book that I read; the photographs of book jackets, selected for their graphic appeal, are often of the same edition, but sometimes not. The photographs of people always correspond to the author of the book in question (unless otherwise identified).  Books of queer interest, because of author and/or subject matter, are identified with an asterix and appear in pink.
